Jacmel, Haiti

 

We are looking for volunteers to come help us for one year with our church and service projects in the south east region of Haiti. We are a church of 19 members who needs help growing and mentoring our young Christians. The volunteers would be trained in ministry leadership as well as learn to work in the field of nonprofit.

 

The volunteers will be living together on one compound and will be able to walk closely together and learn from each other over the course of the year. Our church is young and has about 30 members who are mostly young singles. We need help mentoring them and helping them grow into mature, zealous Christians who are on fire for God. We prefer Creole or French speakers who can study and evangelize with new people. Haiti is also filled with many foreigners and English speakers so English speakers can still be used by God.

 

We also want our volunteers to help us with our service projects and learn to love and serve the community with outreach programs. They are also asked to teach English to help us generate an income to live. They will be provided living expenses such as housing, food, and internet. They will live in a secure housing compound and are provided with good living condition for Haiti such as running water and full time electricity.
