We have 13 high schools in our area and three colleges that are flourishing here! We are looking for 2 faithful men & 2 faithful women who are are looking to make a difference and may be considering a career in ministry (not required).
Our Teen Ministry has 10 freshmen that are from disciple families and are ready to build relationships and their walks with God. Our dream is to have TBTs or bible talks on all 13 of our high school campuses, where we have two now. We have 30-40 teachers, counselors and school district employees among our membership, so there are many opportunities. The parents are eager to support and help in any way they can as well. This will be a rewarding and faith building time!!
Our campus ministry has the College of the Desert, with 10,000 students (which has it's main campus in Palm Desert, and a newly opened campus in Indio), Cal State San Bernadino - Palm Desert Campus, as well as a UC Riverside - Palm Desert Campus. About half of our church has gone to College of the Desert. Recently, their enrollment has increased, due to the free tuition offered to local high school students, and the size of the campus continues to grow.
We have two evangelists and women's ministry leaders here in the Desert Cities Church. Our church is mostly made up of our marrieds ministry, and very family focused, so dinners and meals and hospitality are in your future if you come here :-) Our Inland Empire Region, has about 80 other college students and 50 high school students that are about an hour away and provide fellowship opportunities. We have an L.A. Summer Internship Program for summers that we could send you to, as well as retreats with the southern California churches.
We are two hours from the beach, two hours from the mountains and an hour from beautiful Joshua Tree National Park. There are lots of fun things to do here including trendy restaurants in Palm Springs, sports and outdoor activities as well as hiking, camping, hunting & off roading for our outdoor enthusiasts.
